9 Things Under $25 That Make Me Ridiculously Happy
Let’s be real, they say money can’t buy happiness, but I disagree 100%. You don’t have to spend 100’s of dollars. You can buy a few little things under $25 that make life brighter, easier, or just more fun. And when you’re on a budget or paying off debt, those small, affordable joys really count.
Hi it’s your friend Eva. Welcome to the channel. We do personal finance a little different here. We don’t shame, we don’t judge, we believe in community.
Here are 9 of mine and they are in no particular order.
- Nescafe frappe coffee with canned milk
As a Greek, I love my Nescafe. We don’t have Noy Noy brand in this country, but we do have canned milk. In the summer, it’s my favorite thing on the weekend. I like to drink it out on the deck while listening to bossa nova music. I’m also Brazilian.
- A fluffy Cozy Blanket
Yes, my pink chair has a fluffy blanket buddy. It’s soft, it’s warm, and it makes movie nights or reading feel like luxury, all without blowing the budget. I love the ottoman for the chair.
- My portable power bank.
I’m not a fearful person with the exception of my phone. I’m convinced it’s going to have no power left at the worst time ever. I pay for the train and subway through my phone. If there’s no power, I will have to pay full price for my train ticket. What if I don’t have my wallet? I can’t use apple pay. I love the one I have because of the wires attached and the battery percentage.
- My sandwich maker. This is the best appliance I own. An English muffin, eggs, some sort of unhealthy processed meat. Being from New Jersey, I prefer taylor ham.
- A Candle That Smells Like Heaven
For $10–20 you can get a candle that makes your whole space smell like a spa, a bakery, or a forest retreat. Happiness in wax form.
6. My annual yearly planner and kitchen calendar.
I look forward to it every year. There is something so satisfying about it.
- My cheap earbuds. Why do I love these more than my apple earbuds? These are pink and they have how much charge is left. I can use my power bank to charge them.
- September Vogue. I have looked forward to this issue for as long as I can remember. I sit in my pink chair with my fluffy blanket and legs up on the ottoman. Life is good.
- 9. Cashmere socks. In the past I’ve spent more than $25 for a pair of cashmere socks. They were worth every single dollar. The softness. It can’t be beat. I swear I had a bounce in my step. I would hand wash them and line dry. I love them.
Happiness doesn’t have to be expensive. Sometimes it’s the little, under $25 things that make life feel rich. And honestly? When you’re working your way out of debt, learning to enjoy the small joys makes the journey so much sweeter. I want to hear some of your favorite things. Put them in the comments.
